Products that reached the real world
iBoardiBoard is the interactive electronic whiteboard Fabian invented. In 2006 he redesigned it as the iBoard "Blue" model, adding an ergonomic angled writing surface, an integrated sound system and a rear cabinet that houses the computer and accessories. By 2009 the system paired a 1.2 m × 2.4 m board with a DLP projector, electronic pens and a gyroscopic wireless mouse.

iBoardThe iBoard came with its own whiteboard software: everything written with the electronic pens was recorded in colour and could be printed, emailed or published as HTML. Teachers could build presentations, annotate over any application or web page, use spotlight and reveal tools, and save digital ink. Developed by iBoard for its interactive classrooms.
iBoard Canada Manufacturing Inc.In 2010 Fabian designed the iBoard Black, which the company describes as the first interactive board of its kind in North America, with the computer built into the board. Pictured: the iBoard 9065, as shown on iboard.ca in 2013.

Holografyx Canada Inc.The Holografyx Showcase is a display cabinet whose front is a transparent LCD screen: a real product sits inside while video and graphics play over it, creating a holographic-looking effect for retail. Fabian is the inventor of Holografyx's transparent LCD showcase, window and iClear devices.

Holografyx Canada Inc.iClear is Holografyx's "virtual host": a kiosk that displays a life-sized 3D virtual image in the shape of a person, using a pre-recorded projection, to greet and inform visitors. Fabian invented it at Holografyx Canada; its design is protected by U.S. Design Patent D753,615 (filed 2014, granted 2016).

QuirkLogic, Inc.Quilla, launched by QuirkLogic at CES 2017, was presented as the world's first connected eWriter: a 42-inch large-format digital writing device built on E Ink paper display technology. Fabian collaborated on the innovation as QuirkLogic's Director of Product Innovation, where he built and managed the company's patent portfolio; he was not the lead inventor.

Ergonomyx Technologies Canada Inc.Ergonomyx is a smart sit-stand desk connected to a smartphone app, part of the "Workspace Fitness" line Fabian invented as co-founder of Ergonomyx Technologies. The system keeps track of activity at the desk and remembers each user's preferences.

Salyx Medical Inc.Salyx is a wearable vital-signs monitor paired with a mobile app and a care dashboard, so caregivers can follow a person's vital signs remotely. Fabian co-founded Salyx Medical in Victoria, BC in 2021. Patent applications are pending.

Solaires Entreprises Inc.Solaires develops thin, flexible photovoltaic modules designed to harvest indoor light to power small electronics. Fabian co-founded Solaires, serving first as CEO and, for the last two years, as COO.

Fabian is also the inventor of software: the Yellow Lab software for blind users and AI video-redaction software (as an advisor to Borealis), and a system to prevent mobile-phone distraction while driving (Inventu Research). His ventures have also produced the Ergonomyx desk app, the Salyx mobile app that connects to its wearable monitor, and a desktop interface that shows the energy harvested by Solaires indoor solar modules.
